The legendary Jazzie B makes his first ever visit to Native to celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of the most influential albums ever made!  Club Classics Vol 1 is a milestone in British music and it’s importance cannot be underestimated, 20 years on and it is still sounds fresh and relevant. The Bristol connection with Soul II Soul has always been strong so this will be a big night in the Bristol calendar.

Dj Format is one of the most successful artists in the UK underground music scene, a position secured following a support slot on Jurrassic 5’s European tour several years ago. Two incredibly successful albums followed plus a Fabric Live mix CD and now Format dj sets are a big deal, especially at Western Soul. Expect a large turn out, reservations are recommended!

The Leisure Allstars present a label showcase serving up yet more top-drawer releases, vocal collaborations, dope remixes - only the best basslines, heavy hiphop, firing funk, bashy breaks, jacking latino house, dancefloor jazz, rolling drum & bass, rare groove, sweet reggae sounds and all the weird, wobbly and wonderful bassbin-battering stuff in between.

Bristols finest funk outfit Powercut, Mr. Lingo and Ewan Hoozami who shake up dancefloors on a regular basis around town come head to head with two elder statesmen of Funk Andy Payback and Steve Rice who rammed Native on their last outing..better known for their Jamaican music selections don't underestimate these two when it comes to some heavyweight soul!
